Non-governmental (public) organization «Biodiversity conservation center (BCC Armenia)» is established by a team of experts in the field of nature conservation, with a primary focus on initiating and executing environmental scientific and management projects in the Republic of Armenia.

The primary objective of BCC Armenia is to safeguard Armenia’s biodiversity and ecosystem services as the basis of human well-being.

BCC Armenia designs and carries out projects with the following core aims:

  • Assessing and mapping natural heritage and biodiversity
  • Assessing and mapping ecosystem services
  • Designing environmental management programs for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development
  • Providing materials for environmental awareness and education.

The key personnel of BCC Armenia possess extensive experience in Armenia’s governmental and scientific bodies in the field of forestry, nature conservation, and protected areas, as well as involvement in international projects and initiatives under UNDP, GEF, FAO, CEPF, and IPBES frameworks.
