BCC Armenia

*Public organization «Biodiversity conservation center (BCC Armenia)» is founded by a group of experts in the field of nature conservation for the purpose of implementing environmental scientific and management projects in the Republic of Armenia. The main goal of the BCC Armenia is the preservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services of Armenia as the basis of human well-being.

BCC Armenia plans and implements projects within the following main objectives:
– natural heritage and biodiversity assessment and mapping
– ecosystem services assessment and mapping
– environmental management providing biodiversity conservation and sustainable development
– support for environmental awareness and education.

Key staff of BCC Armenia have many years of experience in the state and scientific bodies of forestry, nature protection and protected areas of Armenia as well as in participating international projects and initiatives within the framework of UNDP, GEF, FAO, CEPF, IPBES.
