Assessment of forest ES provided by ENPI-FLEG II (European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) East Countries Forest Law Enforcement and Governance (FLEG) II Program, funded by the European Union). There are descriptions of the state of forest ecosystems, the main threats to forests and their significance for the rural population of Armenia.

Assessment of ES of grasslands and pastures provided by ongoing GIZ project “Management of Natural Resources and Safeguarding of Ecosystem Services for Sustainable Rural Development in the South Caucasus” (ECOserve) includes the following topics:
– Sustainable Pasture Management
– Nationwide mapping of Armenian pastures and grasslands.
– Capacity Development in the Ministry of Economy of the RA for the future use of GIS mapping models.
– Support on fodder production and pasture improvement activities as alternative solutions for decreasing pressure on pastures and ensuring income for rural population.
